We have been with Banfield for over 15 years. Our current fur baby, Fred is 15 now and would have died a number of years ago if it weren’t for the expertise of the staff at our clinic. Everyone at the clinic is wonderful, knows our Fred and his issues. I could not be happier or have more faith in another office.
DO NOT go to banfield! They withheld the fact that my cat was dying to sell me a wellness plan. Two months later I bring him back in and they act as if it was common knowledge that he's dying of kidney failure. After he died a few days later I called to cancel the wellness plan and they are now charging me $700 for canceling it.
gizmoduffy – perhaps you are confusing Banfield with another Veterinary service. As a going on 2 decade staff member I honestly cannot recall turning away an emergency or life threatening condition of a companion animal.There have been several occasions where an owner will wait to long to have their pet examined, thinking the condition will go away, and then in anger blame the treating hospital, is it possible this is what happened to you ?
Do NOT use Banfield if your dog has a serious health issue. They 'lose' you appointments and do not have the medications needed on hand even if you have an appointment and are going to need the medication. They don't inform you if they need to reschedule you. They will not see you for an emergency even during regular office hours. Had no problems for 8 years until dog developed Addison's and nearly died before I could get her to an emergency vet over an hour away.
