The Texas Department of Transportation along with United States Congressman John Culberson, TxDOT Executive Director Lt. Gen Joe Weber and others celebrated the completion of the I-10 Katy Freeway eastbound to SH 99 Grand Parkway north and southbound direct connectors on Monday, June 16.

The $31.2 million contract was awarded to Lone Star Road Construction by the Texas Transportation Commission.

These two connectors were among four direct connectors for the I-10/ SH 99 interchange which began construction in 2012. The mobility and accessibility that the completion of the I-10 and SH 99 interchange will create will serve Greater West Houston, one of the fastest growing communities in the United States well.

The first connector, SH 99 southbound to I-10 westbound opened December 2013. The final connector, SH 99 northbound to I-10 westbound is set to open soon.
